I have answered a question like this previously, so this is a sum up.
I would hope they do not. There are always students who feel more comfortable talking to teachers more, but every student has an equal opportunity to learn in my classroom, and I will do whatever I can to help them. By showing up to class, they have shown that they want to be there, regardless of whatever is going on in their lives where they feel they need to act out for attention, etc.
