This year is my most important year of high school (we began the new year a few weeks ago) and I need to get an A in all of my subjects. However, I’m falling behind in physics because my teacher won’t teach us (he reads us sentences from a textbook and calls that ‘teaching’) and when I ask for help, he won’t give it. Due to this, we’ve been going through the course very slowly and if we continue at this pace, it will take us just under 3 school years to finish the 1 year course. What do I do?

It is unfortunate that this is happening.

You could privately and politely share your concerns with your teacher.  Explain that you are not connecting with the work and you feel you need something different to help you succeed.
If this doesn’t help, you may have to talk with the Guidance office or administrative staff to express your concerns.

Good luck.
