I have never been in a middle school; my region has elementary schools (K-8) and high schools (9-12). I did a teaching placement in a grade 8 classroom, and classroom management was a bit easier than high school due to the fact that students were still in the school of their younger days where certain expectations are in place, they are with one teacher all day long and stay in the same room all day.
You always just need to be yourself, and update your strategies for whatever class you have. I don’t have one specific method for every class I teach.
