Do you have an opinion on schools mandating what students can and cannot say online? Cyberbullying has been a hot issue since I was in school, and I’m glad there’s so much more attention on it now. On the other hand, I’m hearing of kids being punished simply for criticizing their school on social media. There doesn’t seem to be a clear-cut way to combat cyber-bullying but also allow kids free speech online. And the punishment for a tweet that takes thirty seconds to type can last much longer.

We have a responsibility to teach students to be good citizens in society, as well as good digital citizens.  Those kinds of acts can have bigger consequences once that individual turns 18.
