So I’m teaching 5th grade summer school math with a program that trains young teachers. Since most of what we learn is focused on classroom management we receive detailed lesson plans that we work from. The thing is that my kids are not at the level of these required plans and are getting very very frustrated because they’re struggling to learn. Do you have any suggestions? We are required to get through one concept a day and can not give homework

You need to teach where your kids are. What will be best for them? Focus on the kids.
