Thank you! I wish you all the best! If it is truly what you want to do, teaching will excite you. There are down days, like in any job, but the rewards are worth it.
I dream of becoming a high school English teacher, and I want to say your blog is my favorite ever. It fills me with a bit of dread and excitement. Honestly wish I would have had you as a teacher.

Hi there! I am a new teacher, sometimes students send me friend requests on facebook, I find it strange to add my students there but I have noticed many fellow teachers doing it. Or once I called a parent due to an emergency and their son(my student) got my number from their phone and started texting me and calling me at odd hours. I tried talking and discouraging him, even calling his parents again to tell them what their son was doing yet nothing helped. How do you handle something like this?
This should NOT happen! There are boundaries. I’ve taught in alternative, high-risk environments before where I have given my number out, but it comes with a warning of how it is to be used. Students appreciate the gesture and do not abuse it. This situation needs to go above you; the school needs to handle it, as you used your personal device to handle a school situation, and now it is working against you.

Uhm i Have a question 🙋 I’m currently finishing the 9th grade, only five weeks left 😆😆 So anyway, for our final grade we’re doing the whole Roman history and even though I like history, it’s really extensive so do you have any tips on learning or should I just cram it all the day before the exam?
Never cram! Do a little bit each day and then you can lightly review for a few days before the exam. Ask your teachers for exam review.

I’m having a lot of trouble with a teacher who like to express their political opinions too much is there anyone of asking them to stop in a polite way even in a separate conversation outside of class? She’s a good teacher I just feel we get off topic to much. (p.s. She is a high school english teacher.
You could just ask to speak with them privately and explain that it makes you feel uncomfortable when those topics come up.
