Teaching In Real Life

Hi! Quick question, I’m a student wanting to give my favourite teacher a special message in their card and I was just wondering, is it a bit weird that I tell her/him how much she/he has made my life better by putting a smile on my face when I have a bad day from her/his jokes? Thx!

That’s a wonderful idea!  It would not be weird.  Wouldn’t you like hearing from someone that they appreciate you?

Thank you for all the hard work you teachers do! I know you must not feel appreciated at times but you’re so incredibly important to kids lives! All the hard work and effort you do is worth it!

I’m a sophomore in college and I want to teach math at the high school level. The one thing that makes me nervous (especially in my student teaching) is being too young to be a high school teacher.

Don’t worry about that.  As long as you be yourself and take responsibility, you’ll be fine.  I was practice teaching at 21 and teaching at 22 in high schools; you’re good.
