Teaching In Real Life

I have not had this experience, and I truly hope it does not happen.

I get too many questions about it, however, from students.  I can appreciate where the crush comes from, but I see how it can go way too far.

Not that recently.  There is still a teacher-student dynamic where one still has “authority.”  Years down the line, possibly, but not right after graduation.

I don’t know any specific blogs, but I know of a lot of other teaching blogs out there that talk about it.

AND I do know personally know teachers who have mental illnesses, and who work through it to teach children.  It’s a challenge, but there are good supports out there for teachers and for students.  You can do it!

SO BUSY.

We are worried about all of our deadlines (marking exams/late assignments that we shouldn’t be accepting in the first place, but we are; report cards; student success profiles; student success meetings; cleaning up our classrooms and more) AND we are worried about the students, because we understand that exams are stressful, but we all work through it together.
