I would hope if teachers are teasing students, they have built up a strong rapport with them where both sides feel it is appropriate to joke around. If the teasing is not appreciated, the student should politely discuss their concerns with their teacher.

It depends on where you are from. Where I’m from, we are paid fairly well. I hear more about how low it is in the United States.

The most rewarding thing for me is getting through to a reluctant or challenging learner – where they feel successful for what they have accomplished and feel like they can carry on with the motivation of succeeding.
That little blip of a smile of a student’s face for what they are capable of make all the bad days worth it.
