When I talk about things I used to do as a kid and students make fun of me
When a student won’t stop complaining
When I find myself doing something that was never covered in Teachers’ College
When I’m just trying to get students’ attention:
When it’s standardized test day
When small class sizes allow teachers to make better connections with students
When I bring in free food and a student says they prefer something else
When students tell me about how good they are at fighting
When students ask how they can start passing and I tell them to use their own time to complete overdue work
