When the government does or says something super ridiculous to try to make people forget what they are doing to education
When I don’t agree with how administration handles a student’s situation
When I tell a student they need to eat their messy food in the hall
They’re like:
When the government cuts 1 in every 4 teachers to better support students (and gambling and tailgating and buck-a-beer)
When I actually convince students to work effectively in groups
When a student tells me when they’ll hand in their work and it’s after report cards
When I’m able to get an at-risk class to appreciate Shakespeare
They still start fights, but are like:
When the holiday weekend is over and we have to go back to work
When we’re over halfway through the semester and students still call me “Teacher”
