When the government says their new policies really have students’ best interests in mind
When the government does or says something super ridiculous to try to make people forget what they are doing to education
When the government cuts 1 in every 4 teachers to better support students (and gambling and tailgating and buck-a-beer)
When the government tries to find reasons to support their new education policies
When the government announces every teacher has to take a math test regardless of the subject they teach
I try to figure out how many years ago I was in a math class like:
When being a teacher isn’t just about teaching curriculum
When a student grasps onto me in heaving sobs because I’m the only supportive person in their life:
When we rally together to fight for the best education for our youth
When our students protest government cuts to education
