Teaching In Real Life

inquire

I love your blog. Everytime you make a post it’s just really relatable. I’m currently teaching 18 to 25yo guys (I’m 25 myself), and the things you post are very recognizable!

Thanks!  We’re all in the same boat here!

Keep up the great work with those young adults! 🙂

can I ask you a few questions about your general, honest opinions on students ? I don’t want someone specific to see which is why I’m asking anonymously. – x

You can always ask, but it doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll answer.  If you ask with your username, I will respond privately.

Send away.

What do you think would happen if any of your students found your tumblr and somehow deduced it was you? Would you just laugh at them and be like, “now you know how I really feel”

No, I would deny it.  And this doesn’t truly show how I really feel – this blog is about sarcasm in regards to my profession.

What are your thoughts on teachers who get tattoos of student artwork / in honor of?

I can’t judge another person’s decision.

Does teachers ever think about their students future? Like how they’re gonna end up ?

June 12, 2016Teaching in Real LifeLeave a comment

I think so.  I don’t do it extensively, but sometimes I worry about some of them, other times I think they’ll do great things.

I always tell students that I’d love to hear from them in the future, and I truly mean it.
