You could talk to the teacher privately to express concern for your grade, and how you feel some extra help/explanation would support your learning. I hope it works out! If not, you could try asking another teacher in the school.

This may seem strange but I’m still in high school and have a question. I’ve been trying really hard in my honors Algebra 2 class and am still struggling. The first time I asked the teacher about it she just told me to “try harder.” The amount of effort I’m putting forth is giving me extreme anxiety so you can see where this is a tad unhelpful. Do you have any tips for approaching a teacher for extra help?

Do you expect your students to always look at you when you’re talking? Some of my teachers do this to me, and it really causes my anxeity to flare. I get it’s a respect thing, but I get uncomfortable when I have to stare at someone.
No, I do not. As long as they aren’t looking at their phones that is all I care about. They could be taking notes, or finding their own way to listen intently.

When you start teaching, is it common to start out in schools that aren’t so great? And is it easy to switch to another school once you’ve gained experience?
What do you mean “aren’t so great”? What makes a school great vs. not great? If you have the passion, you can make anything great, even spectacular.
You would have to look at your own district to see how the transfer system works.

Do you think teaching middle school is harder than teaching high school? I’m super set on becoming a middle school world history/reading or language teacher, and all my former teachers are very supportive and think I’d make a great teacher. But, my friends are positive that middle schoolers are worse than high schoolers.
I have never taught middle school, or been in a middle school, so I cannot comment on what is more difficult.
Don’t make your decision based on the opinions of others. You need to make the decision for what is best for you, and where you’d rather be. Take time volunteering in schools to see what you’d prefer. Good luck.

I’m having a secret relationship/affair with my teacher and he has a wife. I want to end things now but I don’t know what to say? He’s my form teacher btw.
Tell him you are going to call the police, and then do that.
If you don’t want to call the police yourself, tell any caring adult you trust. This needs to end now. Please ask for help from a real person.
