Hey I’m a jr in highschool, I take pretty rigorous classes, but I doodle all the time. If I’m still getting good grades and participating sometimes, what do most teachers thing about the doodling habit?

Doodling is good!  Doodling helps some people’s minds focus.  You’re not on your phone so this is good!  You can always double check with your teachers to clarify your doodling.  As long as you’re still listening, I’m sure it won’t be an issue.

I’ve been teaching for 3 months now (after graduating) and your blog is so familiar. It cheers me up after exhausting days like this where every word they write down is with a long face and a sigh because “It’s the last period”, ugh and tomorrow I have my difficult class the final period before the weekend. I’m thinking about just putting on a movie…

I hope you put on that movie!  Sometimes we just need to do that.  I have made relatable worksheets on What About Bob, Toy Story 1-3, Lion King 1-2, An Idiot Abroad and waaaay more.

I’m glad I can help you relax!  🙂

I’m in year 11 (15 years old UK) and I have this teacher who’s been there for me more than anyone lately since everything’s been going wrong at home she’s always there for me to just talk to and she listens & has taught me so much about life and I don’t know what I will have done without her and I wanted to get her something to say thanks maybe write a letter but I’m scared it’ll be too personal? I just want to thank her for being there for me when no one else was? What can I do to thank her??

I think a letter or a thank you card would be very nice.  Honestly, any form of thank you is solid.  Do whatever you are comfortable with and that matches your personality to show it is from you.  I’m glad you have found a strong support system 🙂

Would you be uncomfortable if a former student (who has been graduated for several years) tried to form a close friendship with you? I was really close with one teacher in high school and I want to build more of an equal relationship rather than a student/teacher one, but I don’t want to push any boundaries or lose the relationship altogether.

It would always depend on the student, but I would be okay with an acquaintance relationship.  You can always just try to see how emailing back and forth goes.
