Hi there! Two things. 1.) I recently graduated from high school and really want to show appreciation for some of my old teachers. I was thinking maybe a card and maybe a box of chocolates? Do you think that’s too much? 2.) And would it be weird if I visited my old high school to see them? I hope you have a lovely day!

How do you feel about students that are clearly shy, are somewhat outsiders, don’t really socialize with others, don’t participate in class/school things much and look unenthusiastic/dead most of the time. Do you dislike them? Do they seem unpleasant to you?
I don’t dislike any student! All students are different. I try to get to know each student on a personal level, but some I get to know more than others. Whatever works for each student.

In my school students often refer to teachers by just their last names like Smith instead of Mr. Smith. Is that rude? Would you be upset by that?
No, that’s perfectly fine. If a teacher didn’t like it, I’m sure they would tell you.
