This semester I’m actually going to do better. I’m hella determined. I’m a freshman in high school and the first semester was probably the worst semester I’ve ever had in school. I’m usually a straight A student, but this year I’ve had a few C’s and B’s. So I’m gonna get it together and do my very best. I think everyone else on here should do their best too, because I know we can all achieve greatness.

i suffer from major depression and severe executive dysfunction, and it makes it really hard for me to wake up early (around 6) to get to school. im late a lot, but i dont know how to communicate with my teachers about my mental illnesses and ways to help me still get the info. im supposed to get antidepressants, but they won’t be in for a while. do you have any tips on how to approach teachers about mental illness?

Just talk to your teachers privately.  You don’t have to explain everything.  Tell them you want to be here, but that it’s hard, and would appreciate any support to stay caught up.  Be honest.  I am glad you are getting help!
