What do you think about intelligent students with a lot of potential but just don’t put the effort in?
It’s unfortunate, but hopefully they will discover their potential eventually. Sometimes the adolescence years are too much, and they need to find their own way.

I don’t think it’s stupid. Why do you think you’re not academically good enough? What else could you be doing to improve? Ask some caring adults in your school about pathways and what you can do to get there, or perhaps explore other options. Good luck.
