Hellooo! I’m expected to get an A* in English and Art (which are the subjects I would like to teach when I finish school) but I’m worried that teaching such a core subject like English will be too hard for me? I love all your posts by the way ❤❤❤

Hi I sit next to a quite obnoxious immature classmate and I can’t stand her anymore ! I’m unsure if it’s because I’m 2 years older than her but it’s driving me mad. We have unassigned seats but seems like everyone has chosen “their seat. I’ve asked a teacher to change places because I couldn’t “see” well but she didn’t do much… Should I tell her the truth ?
Always be honest. If it’s inhibiting your focus/learning then it’s a problem.

When students tell me detailed aspects of their personal lives (or whatever else is in their head, particularly in the middle of a lesson)
Me: “What country did Mussolini lead?”
Students:

Me: “What part of an essay comes first?”
Students:

Me: “Did anyone bring back their signed field trip forms?”
Students:

Me: “So Scout is Jem’s sister in To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Students:

Me: “Please get out your books to read silently while I call you up one-by-one to discuss your progress.”
Students:

Me: “Does anyone have any questions?”
