Hello! My favorite teacher is leaving in a couple of weeks, I can tell he’s feeling down and I’m wondering how could I show my support and that I appreciate and will miss him without beeing weird?

Since i want to be a teacher i was wondering what steps you took to become a teacher and how was your first year teaching?
Where I’m from, I needed a Bachelor’s degree and then a Bachelor of Education degree. My first year teaching was busy, but good. It was very eye-opening to see what all different students experience in their lives and the obstacles that can prevent them from focusing in school.

I asked a teacher about how low score you could get on an essay if you handed it in (like I asked how many points you would get for just handing in an essay, a bad one but handed in) and I know feel really bad for asking that because I only asked to be sure that it was no risk that I would get 0 points but now realized it made me seem like I didn’t care about the subject. Should i apologize and how then?
I don’t think it makes you seem like you don’t care. Be specific when talking to your teacher to say that you are struggling and seek extra help. Every student gets something if they hand the assignment in. The only way students get a zero in my class is if they don’t hand their work in or if their work is plagiarized.

Do it. It shows students that everything is connected and that they need all subject areas for their future life.
