So I know you don’t teach math, but right now I’m having a very difficult time in it. I am in grade 12 pre calculus and I am feeling terrible anxiety towards it to the point where I feel physically sick. I need this credit to graduate so I need to stick it out, but I can’t continue on feeling like this. Do you have any tips on calming down for tests or any advice to make this easier for me?

I have been there before with getting so worked up about something I become sick.  What did it accomplish?  Nothing, other than making me further behind and more upset and sick.

Talk with your teacher regarding suggested strategies for studying or to move through the work.  Just remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  If you don’t do well on one part of it, take some breaths, relax, find out where you went wrong, and move on to tackle the next part.  We can’t all be perfect at everything, but hard work, effort and moving on will help you.

You can do it!

A lot better. I think he already knows I have a hard time because when we talk about depression and things in class he looks at me very seriously like he knows I struggle. Is it possible to talk to this person without things changing drastically?

(question part 1: I have a teacher who I’ve had for 3 different classes he didn’tt really known me well unroll half way through last year. I have a class and two clubs that he’s in charge of. I fell like mentally if I could talk to him it would make everything ½-a)

I am not sure what you’re asking me.  Are you trying to talk with this teacher about your struggles?  Is it depression?  What do you mean about changing things drastically?  Teachers are there to assist you in any way possible.  If you need help, reach out and talk to him privately about your struggles if you feel he would understand your needs.

Good luck.

Yesterday in one of my classes a small group of students were being the most disrespectful people ever, getting to the point where my teacher just ended up crying. I’m so angered by it, how can I stop them doing this? Btw you teachers are amazing. xx

That is too bad what your classmates are doing.  There is nothing you can do about it; it is the teacher’s job to manage the class.
