My teacher is making us do a research paper, but the directions are really vague “find a topic in history (600 BC.- present) to do research on and write a thesis on.” That’s pretty much all of history. I can’t think of any topics, do you have any suggestions? It could litterly be anything.

Have you asked your teacher for any other assistance?  They would be the ones who can tell you what they want out of it.

If not, you need to pick something you’re interested in or passionate about, otherwise you won’t want to do the assignment.  Be specific with a time period and focus of topic.

Good luck.

My Teacher likes to make us read 20-30 pages in class and then re-read the pages and do a 4 page essay on what we just read *every single night* do you have any idea on how to get this done and still do extra stuff like Sports,Theater,Clubs etc

It can be difficult to manage one’s time in everything.  The best way I find to do it is through scheduling hours for work and extracurriculars.  That does seem like a lot of work, but you can get through it with hard work and time management.

I answered a similar question about time management here: http://teachinginreallife.tumblr.com/post/81333137294/ive-had-this-a-few-times-the-teacher-rushes-to#notes

I’ve recently been accused by another teacher of sleeping with my English teacher and said teacher went to the principal to tell them about their completely false theory and now I’m being pulled out of my English class and I just feel awkward and don’t know what to do because I’m not sleeping with him nor have any other personal relationship we have spent some time after class discussing books he gave me to read but that’s all. Do you have any advice? Thanks in advance!

I am sure the teacher is going through similar feelings with this accusation, but all you can do is maintain your innocence.  After that, you just have to let it go and move on.  If you need to involve parents/guardians then do so.

Good luck.

Why do teachers call on students to answer things in class when they know that student has issues speaking aloud.

I am a tenth grade student. I get worried that teachers have a stereotype built in their head of me because I have colored hair, and not like black or red, but blue. I’m a straight “A” student, and I don’t talk back or complain about work. I just get concerned because I don’t want teachers thinking I’m a bad student just because of my appearance.

If you feel that this is happening then try to have a discussion with your teachers about how you feel you are being treated.  If it is just a worry you have, rather than actual observations, forget about it and let it go.  Your work ethic and abilities will shine through.
