That’s too bad. I hope you have had some positive experiences. I am only familiar with the state of education in America from documentaries, but it seems that there are too many conflicting ideas from administration, causing there to be too many issues. With these issues, stress is added, and teachers easily burn out without support. The only suggestion I could make would be to challenge your school district to fighting for the needs of kids. I am sure there are some who do, but I have better things to do with my time. The teachers I associate myself with are similar.

and it was only bcz my dad is an old man he doesnt like usin phones, my friend did the same thing she gave her her mom num bcz her dad was on business trip she told my friend what are you immigrants im goin to tell the police! even tho my friend was born in this country. so this is why I hate my teachers they were mean and racists. thank you for reading this :) even tho I’m gussin you’re a good and nice teacher
I’m sorry to hear about your poor experiences. Hopefully there have been some positive teachers in amongst the bad ones. Remember, you never have to take something as is. Go to the administration of the school to express your concerns, even going as far as the school board and ministry if your concerns are not deal with. Students and parents need to speak up too. I hope things work out.

U got a degree in English didn’t you. Now ur stuck with no other job options beside being a teacher
There are copious other options. With today’s job market, however, usually one needs a post-graduate program following their English degree. I chose to continue with school to earn a Bachelor of Education following my four year BA, because teaching was what I wanted to do.

Do your students ever get into arguments about controversial issues? Because my European History class does that a lot and some students just have like REALLY racist/bigoted opinions and I can just tell how much they piss my teacher off but she doesn’t want to argue with students. Have you ever had this problem before?
Yes, it happens often. If someone is being racist, I put a stop to that immediately. And I don’t mean a stop, as in we forget the comments ever existed, but more so change the tone of the discussion so they can hear a new viewpoint, and not share their racist, etc comments in front of others.
